I was born and raised in Sussex and still live here with my family. I love the area which is sandwiched between the sea on one side and the rolling South Downs, yet close to the buzz of Brighton. I came to painting later in life after starting work in the art department of Portslade Community College (now PACA), I became increasingly interested in art and joined the sixth form class to complete my 'A' level, followed by two years studying on a Foundation Course at Brighton City College. Five years later I completed my Degree in Fine Art (Painting) at Northbrook College in Worthing and also won the painting prize. It just goes to show you never know where a new job will take you!
